An acupuncturist brings a different approach which may bring relief for new or stubborn injuries, pain, repetitive strain, arthritis, and so much more.
For Acute conditions Nicci uses a mix of quick release 'dry needling', electro-acupuncture and cupping. This is designed to help to ease pain, promote blood flow for healing, and support muscle conditioning around sore areas. With the combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian points around the body, treatment is aimed to help optimise an overall healing response to support you to stay on track with your recovery.
Nicci also enjoys working with Chronic conditions for pain management and problem solving. A more holistic approach can often start to bring change even when other avenues seem to have been exhausted. It is recommended to try 2-3 treatments to learn how your body responds to Acupuncture. There is no obligation to keep going, however, it is important to recognise that more chronic conditions often require a longer term course of at least 6-8 weekly treatments to bring about change.
TCM Acupuncture maybe an effective addition either on its own, or in a complementary role along side Surgical recovery, Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Massage or other Allied practitioners for a case managed approach. Working with the multi-disciplinary team at Garden City health means that this is on site, and between practitioners conversations and referrals can be considered to support further problem solving as needed.
